Our client, a leading supplier within the construction and steel manufacturing industry, is seeking experienced Machine Operators to join their team in Bassendean on either day shift.
This role is focused on processing reinforcing steel (rebar) used in concrete and masonry construction projects. You will operate specialised machinery to cut, bend, and shape rebar to customer specifications before preparing finished products for dispatch.
About the Role
Your duties will include:
Operating rebar processing machinery, including coil processing machines, guillotine cutters, and bending equipment
Cutting and shaping reinforcing steel to production requirements
Bundling, stacking, and securing finished products
Operating an overhead crane to move materials throughout the warehouse
Loading finished products onto trucks for dispatch
Following all site safety procedures and maintaining housekeeping standards
Working within a small, safety-focused team environment
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous machine operating experience within a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or industrial environment
Strong mechanical aptitude and confidence working around machinery
A proactive approach to workplace safety
The confidence to speak up and contribute to a positive safety culture
A current driver's licence (essential)
Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
Previous experience with reinforcing steel (rebar) is highly regarded but not essential.
Working Environment
This is an older industrial facility that can be dirty and dusty, so applicants must be comfortable working in these conditions. The site is currently undergoing significant improvements under a new Production Manager who has placed a strong focus on:

5:00am – 1:00pm
